How the Outside World is a Reflection of Our Internal State of Mind

Listen to “How the Outside World is a Reflection of Our Internal State of Mind”.

If you look at the state of the world today, everything is suffering: humans, plants, animals, forests, rivers, and oceans are all in danger. The rate of harm has accelerated significantly in the last century, and now threatens the ecosystem’s health and life itself.

People incorrectly assume that their problems stem from external conditions. In truth, we are continually shaping the world around us through our conscious and unconscious thoughts. Thus, reality is only a mirror reflecting our inner world and thoughts, which later become actions.

The environment with which we surround ourselves is often a direct expression of our emotions and psycho-spirituality. It is our global state of mind. What we put into our mind grows and becomes our reality. If we feed our minds with fear and panic, we get the results we are witnessing now.

Unfortunately, we cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them. Instead, we need to examine our thoughts to improve our conditions. As individuals, we must become aware of our thoughts and actions towards ourselves and the wider world.

How Fear Ruins Your Life and How to Stop it

If we take small, practical steps, we can bring change at a personal, communal, and global level.

Here are 5 things you can do to shape a better reality:

1. Physical Health

Given the well‐documented relationship between lifestyle, disease burden and healthcare costs, it makes economic and medical sense to hold individuals morally responsible for their health‐related choices.

Personal health is the responsibility of the individual, and we should be encouraged to take better care of ourselves. Prevention is the key to any health condition, and it all starts by living a healthy lifestyle.

Make sure you are moving every day and eating a diet that is full of whole foods such as vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains. Avoid highly processed foods, or at least reduce them to a minimum.

2. Stress Management

We can’t avoid all sources of stress in our lives, nor would we want to. But we can develop healthier ways of responding to them.

Managing stress is all about taking charge: taking charge of your thoughts, your emotions, your schedule, your environment, and the way you deal with problems. The ultimate goal is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation, and fun – plus the resilience to hold up under pressure and meet challenges head-on.

3. Take Control of Negative Thoughts

Negative thought patterns, particularly when they’ve become habitual, can be hard to break. Patterns that have been in place for years won’t be undone overnight, so it’s essential to be compassionate and patient with yourself as you work through them.

Avoid negative people, places, music, websites, news, and anything that makes you feel bad about yourself.

Examine your negative beliefs, which include the self-limiting and self-critical ideas you may have about yourself, that not only weaken your sense of self-worth but also hold you back from taking advantage of positive experiences, opportunities, and relationships.

4. Take Daily Steps Towards Ecological Living

-Recycle
-Reuse
-Give up plastics
-Reduce food waste
-Buy less
-Donate things you do not need
-Reduce your meat consumption
-Choose organic products
-Buy less but buy better quality

5. Look for all of the positives in life

As you look for the positive in people and circumstances, you’ll quickly discover that most of your life is filled with positive energy rather than negative.

Positive energy attracts more positivity in the form of new opportunities and good relationships. In contrast, when you lack positive energy, you tend to feel wiped out, anxious and inhibited, and you will spread that negativity to others.

Stress, negativity and anxiety are highly contagious, but so is positivity!

Earth is a living, breathing ecosystem, and we are all a part of it and all connected by invisible threads. We are all one, and by improving our lives, we improve the lives of those around us.

Change has to begin within you—the world only changes when we change.
