Blood pressure

Blood pressure is measured using two numbers. The first number, called systolic blood pressure, represents the pressure in your blood vessels when your heart beats. The second number, called diastolic blood pressure, represents the pressure in your blood vessels when your heart rests between beats. Blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg).

Normalsystolic: less than 120 mmHg diastolic: less than 80 mmHg
At risk (prehypertension)systolic: 120–139 mmHg diastolic: 80–89 mmHg
Highsystolic: 140 mmHg or higher diastolic: 90 mmHg or higher

In the DeepH app, you can manually add your measurements to ensure you keep your blood pressure under control. If your blood pressure is normal, maintaining or adopting a healthy lifestyle can prevent or delay the onset of high blood pressure and other health problems.

If your blood pressure isn’t normal, a healthy lifestyle — often along with medication — can help bring it under control and reduce your risk of life-threatening complications.
