Listen to “How to Have Enough Energy to Enjoy Life”.
“There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh
It’s hard to avoid our efficiency passion, in a get-things-done world. Often, we already have everything we need to enjoy life—it’s just a question of prioritizing what’s really important. It’s about shifting your mindset, seeing things in a new way, choosing what is best for your mind and body and soul. You do not have to add fifty-five things to your daily routine. Actually you might need to exclude some. We offer easy ways to infuse your days with joy and energy to make the most of our time-limited existence.
Allow Yourself to Feel Happy
Many of us find it challenging to enjoy a calm, “normal” life. Give yourself permission to enjoy a drama-free existence and focus on finding pleasure in your daily experiences.
Lighten your load.
One of the main reasons for fatigue is overwork. This doesn’t just mean in the workplace, it can also be family and all those social obligations. So take some time on a Sunday night to set your priorities and most important tasks for the week ahead. Separate the “must-do” activities, from those you can skip. And don’t forget to ask for extra help when you need it.
Avoid the News
It’s all too easy to get sucked into public drama, online and offline. Trust that if something important happens, you’ll know about it. Otherwise, save your energy and spend your time on something more worthwhile than scrolling and drawing in negativity and fear.
Cut Down Your Junk
Physical clutter equals mental clutter. Reducing the amount of stuff around us fosters a calmer mental state, too. By tidying up around the house, you can increase your focus, energy, and positive emotions.
Practice self-love
Health and happiness are inextricably linked; you can’t have one without the other. Taking time out to care for our health is fundamental. Love yourself enough to look after yourself. Spending even just a few minutes a day meditation can help improve your life. It can give you a sense of calm, inner peace, and balance that can benefit both your health and emotional wellbeing. Exercise – Find time to exercise regularly. Exercise makes you smarter, happier, improves sleep, increases libido, and makes you feel better about your body!
Find time to be alone with yourself
Getting better at identifying moments when we need solitude to recharge and reflect can help us better handle negative emotions and experiences, like stress and burnout. Cultivating a sense of being alone and making the choice to be alone can help you to develop who you are, your sense of self, and what your true interests are.
Positive affirmations
Practicing positive self-talk every day is going to feel a little silly at first. Once you get the hang of it, though, it will be a fool-proof way to start your day off as energized as possible.
